ABOUT ME
I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience. I completed my clinical psychology training at the University of Canterbury and have a PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Otago. I am also a qualified yoga teacher.
I am an experienced therapist and have recently taught in the Clinical Psychology and Postgraduate CBT programmes at the University of Canterbury. I have worked across a number of services in the past including family mental health, rural mental health, eating disorders, and cancer and other health-related conditions. I am an LGBTQI+ ally and enjoy working with a diverse range of cultural backgrounds.

I specialise in working with adults in the following areas:
anxiety
depression
adjustments to health conditions
work-related problems
sleep
eating problems, (including after weight loss surgery or in preparation for weight loss surgery)
body dissatisfaction
managing life changes
rural mental health
adult ADHD assessments
I work using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Metacognitive Therapy and Schema Therapies. I am also interested in exploring how physical aspects influence mental health (mind-body connection) and how we can use this to improve wellbeing.

I see clients in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays and am available for Zoom.

Please Note: I cannot provide an emergency service. If you are concerned about safety issues, please contact the Police on 111 or the Crisis Resolution Team on 0800 920 092.
